Christmas Eve

  
   Collecting my camera to go off out birding when i noticed these in the Apple tree. Never had Fieldfare or Redwing here before now so i had to take the opportunity to get some pics.

Whittleford Park

17th December

   9 Waxwings at the park but were constantly harresed by 2 Mistle Thrushes. Managed to catch a Redwing in my lens though.

first time i have seen moorhen on a bird table

   Bittern, Water Rail and Snipe all Year ticks with the Bittern being a County Tick. Shame it was only seen in flight and avoided my camera.
   Added 2 more County ticks at Draycot in the form of Smew a male with a couple of Golden eye and the other county tick was Dunlin.
